His name was Michael Khalil Bishay, born on July 9, 1925, at Magagha, El Menya. Graduated from faculty of Agricultures on 1946 and Diploma of the institute of Education on 1948. Employed as teacher at the agricultures school for two years. He served the word of God at the villages since he was fifteen, he was a devoted deacon. Ordained a monk by the name of Mathias El Soriany on April 29, 1951. Ordained priest on March 15, 1953, then hegoman on 1955. Appointed to vice abbot of the monastery for a period of time, so he did a lot of hard work at the new garden outside the monastery walls, and planted a lot of trees.
