The Apparition of the Virgin Mary to the Pope Ephram, the 62nd Patriarch
(975 A .D. – 979A.D)
The Shiite Caliphate El Moease Ledinallah El Fatimy asked Jacob Ben Kals to move Mokattam mountain from its place to prove the words of the Christ in the Bible: “And he said to them, 'Because of your little faith: for truly I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Be moved from this place to that; and it will be moved; and nothing will be impossible to you.'”
During that time, Pope Ephram went to the Virgin Mary’s church which today is known as the hanging church. He remained there for three days, fasting, praying and beseeching God fervently. On the dawn of the third day, Pope Ephram saw the Virgin Mary. She told him that the miracle of moving this mountain would be performed through his hands. Indeed, the miracle was performed and the historian registered it as he marvelled.
