Read after the Gospel of the mass of Thursday in the sixth week of the holy lent.

It urges the faith & its works. It is based on God's sayings in the chapter of the bible:"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life". (John6:47-71).

Our earthly world is full of farms, shops, profits * passengers' ships. We must be attentive to our appointments & caring to our deposits, yet keeping our virtues. We can only go to heaven if our righteousness increases more than that of the Scribes and Pharisees. We should teach the people by both words & works. We must love our brothers & sisters. We must be kind to our enemies, always demanding peace. We must head for perfection. How can we now be lazy &negligent, while we know that we should be loving teachers to our brothers & sisters increasing in virtue than others, working hard to reach Christian perfection.. We know, however, that our enemies seek to conquer us and strive in our fall. Let’s alert our minds from negligence and laziness & skip ourselves from engaging in physical desires. Lest our enemy finds a way to conquer us Our enemy & race-hater does not sleep or lose sight of our species. So we must prepare our weapons and ,build the walls of our city, assess the guards, the Pioneers and the fighters, lest the enemy attacks suddenly while we are in inadvertently negligence. We, then, become a laughing stock to the onlookers and a disgrace to those stragglers who take the crown of glory, winners of eternity in bliss. We are expelled because of our negligence. If evil dealing & transacting corrupts good morals as the apostle says we should always walk away from the bad guys and transact with drunkards, mockers & their ilk. Mixing with such kind of people and hearing their words attracts good hearts to follow their morals. Exactly as those who stay with vendors, musk, scent and fragrant acquire smart odors. Thus we should stick to sages, teachers and employers of virtue to imitate their example in good works. Virtue is good in the eyes of all people just as the vice is ugly in the eyes of its doers. When a drunkard is alert & sees another man drinking, he mocks, laughs at him & detracts his mind for drinking!!!The vice doer hates it despite doing it, because God has put in the natures of human beings a just ruler which is no respecter nor fooled by the faces Human mind is the interval between virtue and vice to show the beauty of these and the hideous of those. Human shall have no excuse, no excuse when he will be convicted in the last day. The lord, to him be the glory has put an easy law for our salvation. This law is to do good to our offenders and to forgive all the wrong doers & in return God Almighty will forgive all our stumbles. What will be our excuse if we do not follow such law??Haven't we listened to God's saying:"Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there remembers that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift".(Matt.5:23-36).Offerings, as well as prayer and fasting and the rest of the virtues are not accepted with hatred. It is wrong to hate your brother. you shouldn't speak bad about him or you will share the torment in hell. How tough will be the end of those who are abusing their brothers, oppressing them, taking their money neglecting their interests? Then, we should be alert, caring to God's sayings to whom be glory forever. Amen.
